About Our School

Hamosad Robotics is the robotic team of Mevoot Eron school. Mevoot Eron is a school located next to Ein Shemer (kibbutz) in Israel. When it was formed in 1949 only the children of the kibbutzs could be accepted, but a Few years later it changed his way and accepted students from the surrounding settlements. Today, Mevoot Eron has almost 1000 students and it is a boarding school in which some of the students and "NAALE" students can sleep.
Mevoot Eron is a very liberal school which has a unique combination between educational achievements to social activities- what makes him such a special school. The official name of Mevoot Eron is "The Educational Institution Mevoot Eron" - or in brief it's "Hamosad".

About "Hamosad Robotics"

"Hamosad Robotics" is a FRC (First Robotics Competition) team in which there are students from the 11th and 12th grade (aged between 15-18) who can choose FIRST as an optional Robotics major at the school. Hamosad Robotics isn't a regular FRC team- it simulates a proffesional company including mentors support, 2 CEOs who manage the project, and the rest of the crew, divided into teams; construction, sketching, programming, strategy, internet and animation (each team has a student leader). One more unique feature of Hamosad Robotics is the fact that the students build and design the entire robot and even the welded parts that were made in a factory, were sketched and designed by the students before hand.

This is our team's sixth year taking part in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FIRST Israel started in 2005). Our crew includes 18 students from our school. Each team member brings his own knowledge and strengths to the team. Why are we special? Because we believe that a team can be strong only if it is built from individuals working and learning together and from each other.

Mevoot Eron Team Accomplishments

Mevoot Eron" highschool has a distinguished record in the FRC, as well as similar competitions. In years 1999-2001, we took part in the Fire-Fighting contest for building a fire-extinguishing robot. In 2002-2004 we weren't able to take part in this competition anymore, again for financial reasons.

In 2005, FIRST Israel was founded and the FRC began to run annually in Israel. "Mevoot Eron" has been attending it each year since and have won the regional competition four times out of five regionals. Additional team achievements in the FRC include:
